Voice commands

Every hands-free phrase in one place — text, tabs, windows, apps, and more.

In hands-free mode you drive Infina by voice alone — no keys held. There's no syntax to memorize: say a phrase the natural way and Infina fires the matching keystroke in whatever app is in front. First, the one thing to understand — how to tell when it's listening.

Knowing when Infina is listening

Watch the little ∞ logo in the bottom-right corner of your screen. It's your only signal, and it's simple:

  • No logo showing — Infina is asleep. Say “Jupiter” (or double-tap Control) to wake it, then say your command.
  • Green logo — it's awake and listening. Go ahead and speak.
  • Orange logo — it's busy running the command you just gave.

While it's asleep, Infina is only listening for two words: type to start writing, and Jupiter for every other command on this page. Nothing else you say does anything until you wake it — so you can talk freely in the room without setting it off.

You get about 10 seconds free after each command

Once you finish a “type…” (or any command), the logo stays green and Infina keeps listening for about 10 seconds — no need to say “Jupiter” again. In that window just say “send it” and your message goes. When the logo disappears, it's back asleep. You can change how long that window lasts (5 seconds up to 2 minutes) in the hands-free panel.

Writing & sending text

Dictate into any field, then submit or move on without touching the keyboard. You can also fire any real keyboard shortcut by naming the modifier and key (“command N”, “control C”).

  • type fix the login bug and add tests
  • send it
  • press enter
  • escape
  • next field
  • press command N

Fixing what you just said

Got a word wrong? Clear it and speak again — no mouse. Say clear (or delete / erase) with the last word, the whole line, or everything. The select commands highlight text instead of deleting it.

  • clear the last word
  • clear the whole line
  • clear everything
  • select all
  • select the line
  • select the last word

Because dictation pastes over a selection, saying “select the last word” and then speaking the right word swaps just that word — the fastest way to fix a single mis-heard word.

Moving between windows

Juggling three Terminal windows or two Notes windows? Cycle focus between the open windows of whatever app you're in.

  • next window
  • previous window

Moving between tabs

Move through the tabs already open in Chrome, Safari, Arc, and friends — without opening or closing anything. “New tab” and “close tab” do exactly what they say.

  • next tab
  • previous tab
  • new tab
  • close tab

Getting around the screen

Scroll, go back and forward, reload, click a button or link by name, pick the Nth result, or drop your cursor into a named field so the next “type…” lands there.

  • scroll down
  • go back
  • reload
  • click send
  • open the third result
  • go to the search box

Opening & switching apps

Bring any app to the front, or open a fresh window or tab of a native app (Terminal, Finder, Safari, Notes, Reminders, Mail, Calendar).

  • switch to Chrome
  • go to Claude
  • open a new terminal
  • open a new tab in Terminal

Hands-free voice commands are a Mac feature. Best in a quiet room — somewhere noisy, hold your dictation key instead.
