Keyboard shortcuts
Every shortcut for Mac and Windows in one place.
Infina works push-to-talk: hold a key, speak, and release. There's nothing to click and no mode to switch into — the key you hold decides what Infina does.
Voice typing
Hold the dictation key and speak to type in any text field. Release when you're done.
| Platform | Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Mac | ⌥ Option | Type with your voice |
| Windows | Right Alt | Type with your voice |
Voice commands
Hold the command key and tell Infina what to do — switch apps, drive your terminal, or control your computer (“open a new terminal”, “switch to Chrome”).
| Platform | Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Mac | fn | Run commands and switch apps |
| Windows | Right Ctrl | Run commands and switch apps |
Hands-free mode
Prefer not to hold a key at all? Start your sentence with type to dictate into any text field, say send to submit it, or say Infina for everything else. See Hands-free mode for the details, including which Windows laptops it runs on.
Where the keys are
On a Mac the dictation key sits at the bottom-left of your keyboard — Option, next to Command — and the fn key is in the bottom-left corner. On Windows both keys are on the right of the space bar: Right Alt to type, Right Ctrl for commands.
