What is Infina?
Infina is hands-free voice for Mac and Windows: you talk, and it types, sends and opens apps for you, without touching the keyboard. Push-to-talk is the free backup: hold a key, speak, and it types what you said with AI cleanup, free and unlimited.

How accurate is Infina?
On our test of 100 everyday sentences, Tami 1 cleaned 83 correctly. Google's Gemma 3 1B and Meta's Llama 3.2 1B cleaned 51 each.

How much does Infina cost?
Only hands-free typing is paid: 2,000 free words, then Infina Unlimited at $8.25 a month, billed annually at $99. Hands-free commands are free and unlimited, and run on your computer. Push-to-talk with AI cleanup is free and unlimited, forever, no card.

Does Infina have AI cleanup?
Yes. Infina's own AI cleanup, Tami 1, runs on your computer and removes ums, follows changes of mind, adds punctuation and lays out lists; it is on by default on Macs with Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or newer. On Windows, AI cleanup needs 16 GB of memory and 4+ cores. Below that, a basic cleanup runs instead.

Does Infina update itself, and how often?
Yes. The desktop app checks for a new version every minute, downloads it on its own and installs it quietly while your screen is locked or when you quit, so there is nothing to click. Much of the app also loads from infina.so, so many changes reach you when the website updates, with no new download.

The changelog lists the main updates, newest first: 78 updates from v1.0.0 (Jul 13, 2025) to v1.45.4 (Nov 2, 2026), with earlier history back to Dec 2024.

Does my voice leave my computer?
Dictation is transcribed on your own computer, so by default your audio never leaves your device. The one exception is your first few minutes after install, while Infina is still downloading what it needs. An optional switch in Infina Unlimited, off by default, sends your audio encrypted to our speech providers. Commands are understood and run on your computer.

Which computers does Infina run on?
Macs with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer), and Windows PCs. On Windows: Requires Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit Intel or AMD). Hands-free works on both: on a Mac it needs macOS 14 or newer, on Windows 4+ processor cores and 8 GB of memory.
