Infina S1
Our own cleanup model: turns raw dictation into clean text, on your computer.
Infina S1 is a custom-trained model for cleaning up the raw dictation that comes out of speech recognition. Speech recognition writes down exactly what you said, ums and all. S1 turns that into text you can send as it is, and it does it on your own computer.
What it does
- Removes ums, uhs and repeated words.
- Keeps your corrections: say “Friday at 4 pm, no, 5 pm” and you get “Friday at 5 PM”.
- Adds punctuation and capital letters.
- Lays out lists and emails: a greeting on its own line, one item per line, the sign-off at the bottom.
- Writes times, dates and numbers the way you would type them.
You say: “uh hey sam so um the demo is friday at 4 pm”
Infina types: “Hey Sam, the demo is Friday at 4 PM.”
Why it runs on your computer
- Your words are cleaned up on your computer. They are not sent to a server to be tidied.
- It is fast. There is no trip to the internet and back. A short message is clean in about 0.1 to 0.2 seconds, and a couple of sentences in about a third of a second.
- It works offline, on a plane or on a bad connection.
How good it is
In a blind side-by-side test on 23 real voice notes, people picked S1's text 12 times and a large online model's text 11 times. In other words, about a tie, from a model small enough to run on a laptop.
Every result is checked before it is typed: no dropped words, no lost “not”, no changed numbers. If anything looks off, or it takes longer than 2 seconds, Infina types the basic cleanup instead, right away.
Built on open source
S1 is custom-trained on top of Qwen3-0.6B, a 0.6 billion parameter open model from the Qwen team at Alibaba, released under the Apache-2.0 license. Thank you to the Qwen team for sharing it.
We trained it on the founder's own voice notes, plus examples written to teach the hard cases: fillers, corrections like “4 pm, no, 5 pm”, lists, numbers and keeping every “not”. No other user's data was used.

Where it runs
- Mac: Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). It downloads once, about 350 MB, and is on by default. You can turn it off in Settings under Cleanup model.
- Windows: not yet. Your text gets a basic cleanup for now.
