On-Device by Default

Dictation is transcribed on your own computer, so your audio never leaves your device. The cloud add-on is optional, and sends audio encrypted to our cloud providers.

End-to-End Encryption

All data encrypted with AES-256 in transit and at rest.

Privacy Mode

On by default: nothing you dictate is saved to our database unless you choose to turn it off.

Security Vulnerability Reports: We encourage security vulnerability reports and maintain a public Vulnerability Disclosure Policy with reporting guidelines and procedures.

How Infina works

Infina is an AI-powered voice engine that runs on your computer. It does three things: it types what you say into any app, it presses Enter when you say "send", and it opens or switches to an app when you name it. Hands-free, or by holding a key if you prefer.

  • Voice typing: Say "type" plus a sentence and Infina types it into any app, 4× faster than typing. Your dictation is processed securely and privately.
  • Send and open apps: Say "send" and Infina presses Enter; name an app and it opens or switches to it, without you leaving the app you are in. The word is heard and understood on your own computer, and with Privacy mode on (the default) nothing is kept.
  • By default audio is transcribed on your own computer and never leaves it; with the cloud add-on it's sent encrypted and transcribed in real time. Privacy mode is on by default, so nothing is kept at all - turn it off and your dictation history is saved to your account so you can revisit it
  • Cloud features use industry-leading services (Together AI, Groq, Cerebras, OpenAI, GCP, Convex, PostHog) with strict data protection agreements; on-device dictation uses none of them

Audio & Data Storage

We treat your audio and the text it produces differently:

Audio

By default audio never leaves your computer. With the cloud add-on it goes encrypted to our cloud provider and is never stored. Turn Privacy mode off and your dictations are saved to your account so you can revisit them.

Transcription Text

By default, Privacy mode is on and nothing is saved to our database - the text is typed into your app and never written to our servers. Turn Privacy mode off and the text from your dictations and voice commands is kept so you have a searchable history.

  • Audio: on-device by default; with the cloud add-on, sent encrypted, processed in real time and never stored - not by us, not by the provider
  • Text history: off by default (Privacy mode); turn Privacy mode off to keep a searchable history
  • All data encrypted with AES-256

Your Data is Never Used for Training

We strictly prohibit third parties (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) from using your data - including voice command and dictation content - to train their AI models.
