Infina Remote
Say what you see on your screen and Infina presses it. Mac only for now.
Infina Remote is a better way to tell your computer what to do. See a button? Say its name and Infina presses it. No pointing, no clicking.
Mac only for now
Infina Remote works only on Mac right now. It isn't on Windows yet. On a Windows PC, the Remote page in the app says so. Everything else, like typing, sending and opening apps by voice, works on Windows today. See Windows and Mac side by side.
Turn it on
Turn on Hands-free
Open Remote in the sidebar
Flip the switch
Remote is experimental. It is new and still learning, so sometimes it will miss. You can turn it off on the same page at any time, and Infina goes back to exactly how it worked before.
How it works
Wake Infina
Say the name of a button you see
Infina presses it
- “Reply”
- “New chat”
- “Compose”
- “Archive”
type, send it and open plus an app still work. All commands.
Where to use it
Alone, in a quiet room
Remote presses buttons, so it needs more quiet than Hands-free. Use it when you're alone, nobody else is talking, and there's no fan, AC, TV or hum in the room. It works best in a very quiet room.
Things to try
- Open an email. In Gmail, say “Open the first email”.
- Open a chat. In Terminal, say “Go to the first chat” or “Go to the last tab”. In Claude, say “New chat”.
- Go back. In Chrome, say “Go back”.
- A folder or a tab. In Finder, say “Downloads”. On a Google search, say “Images”.
One flow across apps, start to finish:
“Infina, open Gmail”
“Open the first email”
“Reply”
“Type see you at six”
“Send it”
“Yes”
It works when
- Infina is awake.
- The button is on your screen.
- Its window is in front, on your main screen.
Apps we've tested
We said real commands, each a few different ways, and counted how often Remote pressed the right thing. It almost never pressed the wrong thing; when it missed, it usually pressed nothing.
| App | Right | Try saying |
|---|---|---|
| Finder | 18 of 18 | “Downloads”, “Recents” |
| Linear | 11 of 11 | “Backlog”, “All issues” |
| Terminal | 18 of 19 | “Go to the first tab”, “Last tab” |
| Claude | 14 of 16 | “New chat”, “Show sidebar” |
| Chrome (Google) | 14 of 19 | “Images”, “News” |
| YouTube | 17 of 26 | “Subscriptions”, “Shorts” |
| Notes | 6 of 14 | “Search notes” |
Not tested yet: Gmail (tried, not yet counted), Safari, Slack, WhatsApp, Messages, Mail, Notion and Calendar. Remote may work there too, but we only list what we've measured.
When it doesn't work
- Things you can't see. Remote never scrolls or moves your mouse to look for something. If it's off screen, scroll to it first.
- Icons with no name. Remote presses things by their name, so a bare icon with no label can be missed.
- A second screen, or a very narrow window. Remote looks at the window in front on your main screen.
- Windows PCs. Remote is Mac only for now.
If Remote can't find what you said, the pill tells you, like “Can't find Reply”, and nothing is pressed.
Before it sends
When you ask Remote to press a Send or Delete button, in Gmail, Mail, Slack, WhatsApp or Messages, or say “send it” in an email in Gmail or Mail, the pill says “Say yes to send”. Say “yes” and it sends. Say “no”, or say nothing, and the message stays where it is, unsent. In a chat, “send it” sends right away, as always.
Your data
Remote reads the names in the window in front only when you ask it to press something, and it does this on your Mac. What it reads is not saved and not sent anywhere. How we handle your data.
