Cloud add-on
What the $10/month add-on gets you, and when it's worth it.
Your lifetime license runs everything on your Mac, and for most people that's all they need. The cloud add-on is an optional $10/month upgrade that runs your dictation through much larger models on our servers — models simply too big to run on a laptop — for when every word has to come out exactly right.
What you get
- Sharper recognition. The biggest, most accurate versions of Whisper handle your speech — names of people, products, and places come out right far more often.
- Polished text. Large Llama and Qwen models punctuate, fix grammar, and format what you said — lists, paragraphs, cleaned-up sentences — so the text lands ready to send.
- Smarter commands. The same larger models make the assistant and voice commands more accurate too.
When it's worth it
Be honest with yourself about how you use Infina. If you mostly dictate prompts into AI assistants, terminals, and chat — where a missing comma doesn't matter — the on-device models already serve you well, and you don't need the add-on.
Take it when accuracy stops being nice-to-have: when the names of your clients, teammates, and products have to be right every time, and your text needs correct punctuation, grammar, and formatting straight out of your mouth — long emails, documents, anything client-facing. That's exactly what the larger models are for.
Turning it on
Open Settings
Go to Settings → Models in your Infina dashboard.
Switch to cloud
Flip the switch from on-device to cloud. Your very next dictation uses the larger models.
Cancel anytime
The add-on is monthly with no commitment. Cancel whenever you want — it keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, then you're back on the on-device models. Your lifetime license is never affected.
